The MTA Early Career Educators Conference presents the perfect opportunity to meet with fellow educators and get tips on everything from classroom management to supporting students with a wide variety of needs. This one-day conference will offer workshops on topics including:

  • Professional Teacher Status
  • Teaching students with trauma
  • Strategies for mindfulness
  • Strategies for stress management

Social-Emotional Education Summit!

SouthCoast Education Summit
Join your fellow MTA members and other educators at the 2019 SouthCoast Education Summit: Social-Emotional Learning on Saturday, October 26, at Somerset Berkley Regional High School.This free program is open to teachers, education support professionals, administrators and school committee members.

The planning committee includes area school educators and the MTA, in conjunction with the Bay Coast Bank and the Bristol County Chamber of Commerce. This year’s conference includes an expanded number of workshops for Early Childhood Educators in addition to the many great workshops for K-12 Educators.

The agenda for the day will run from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with three workshop sessions and a lunch.

The keynote address will be delivered by Charlie Applestein, MSW. He is the author of the book No Such Thing as a Bad Kid.
